Herbert Pietschmann
Herbert Pietschmann (born 1936) read Mathematics and Physics at Vienna University. He graduated in 1961 and habilitated in 1966. He was active as a researcher at CERN in Geneva, in the United States, Sweden and Germany and Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Japan and China on lecture tours. Pietschmann became an associate professor at Vienna University in 1968; in 1971 he was appointed professor and head of the Department of Theoretical Physics, a position he retired from in 2004. As professor emeritus he continues to be a corresponding member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the Vienna International Academy for Holistic Medicine, a member of the New York Academy of Science and a Fellow of the World Innovation Foundation.
