Sebastian Knopp is doing a course in Cultural Studies and Information Science at Regensburg University with an emphasis on the conception of exhibitions in the field of cultural studies. For the Europatag at Regensburg in 2006 he conceived an exhibition on the topic of what “Heimat” might mean for young adults in Eastern Europe. In 2008 he did an internship at the Museum Europäischer Kulturen in Berlin. Between 2004 and 2008 Knopp was active in the areas of project management and event organisation under the aegis of the City of Regensburg’s cultural office and was involved in the organisation of the Bavarian Jazz Weekend in 2008. In 2007 the Rewag Kulturstiftung gave him the opportunity to get to know the areas of press and public relations. After first experiences in the field of event management, Sebastian Knopp conceived and organised an open-air evening of cabaret in Regensburg in 2006, which has become a fixture since then and is put on twice a year. Sebastian Knopp is also active as a presenter and stand-up comedian; he has a fund-raising gala and other comparable events to his credit, and in 2008 he toured the Oberpfalz with his own stand-up comedian programme.
