Walter Hödl
Walter Hödl is a zoologist at the Institut für Evolutionsbiologie of Vienna University. His main research interests are in the areas of tropical ecology, the evolution of signals and the biology of reproduction. Currently he is devoting more and more of his time to basic research on environmental protection and to public relations. At Vienna University Hödl is responsible for the design of teacher training courses in Biology and Environmental Studies. He is president of the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Herpetologie, chairman of Naturschutzbund NÖ, a member of the Executive Board of the Tropical Biology Association (Cambridge, England) and of several Austrian and international scientific boards.
