Cornelia Faustmann
Cornelia Faustmann (born in 1986) studied Classics and Astronomy at Vienna University. In 2006 she added Ancient History and Archaeology to her academic diet. In 2008 she graduated with distinction in Classics and is currently working on her PhD. Between 2007 and 2008 she worked as a tutor at the Institut für Klassische Philologie, Mittel- und Neulatein of Vienna University. In 2009 she was awarded a research bursary by Vienna University. Since August 2009 she has been a member of the project staff of Institut für Alte Geschichte, Altertumskunde, Papyrologie und Epigraphik of Vienna University. While she was still at school, she wrote a paper on Black Holes that was awarded a prize by Österreichische Physikalische Gesellschaft (ÖPG) and Österreichische Gesellschaft für Astronomie und Astrophysik (ÖGAA). In collaboration with Professor Walter Thirring she wrote on book on the topic called Schwarze Löcher. Rätselhafte Phänomene im Weltall.
