Gabriele Wurm

Gabriele Wurm studied medicine at Innsbruck University. She currently works as a consultant at the Neurosurgical Department of Landesnervenklinik Wagner-Jauregg in Linz. As a neurosurgeon she specializes in all diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system that are amenable to surgery. She has published a large number of scientific papers on a wide range of neurosurgical topics in leading international journals. “Digital Three-Dimensionality in Neurosurgery” was the topic of her habilitation at Innsbruck University in 2004. She continues to supervise clinical studies, especially ones dealing with brain tumor. Her research is focused on the integration of modern imaging techniques into computer assisted surgery.
