Laurenz Widhalm

Laurenz Widhalm had his first contact with those mysterious elementary particles when he was only a boy – his school paid a visit to CERN near Geneva. This proved a formative experience and he decided to study physics to find out more about those strange particles. He wrote his doctoral thesis at CERN. Since 2001 he  has been taking part in an experiment in Japan on behalf of Austrian Academy of Sciences.
