Walter Ötsch

Walter Ötsch is an economist and an art historian at the Johannes Kepler Universität Linz and head of the institue at the Zentrum für Soziale und Interkulturelle Kompetenz. His chief research topics include the cultural history of perception and thought regarding the economy; issues of political communication, social competence and the history of neoliberalism. Ötsch is also active as coach for executives and is the author of the bestseller “Haider Light”. His latest book, “Mythos des Marktes. Marktradikale Propaganda und ökonomische Theorie”, is due to be published by Metropolis in June 2009.
