Robert Pfaller (born 1962) read philosophy in Vienna and Berlin and was a visiting professor in Chicago, Berlin, Zurich and Strasbourg. At present he teaches Cultural Science and Cultural Theory at the Uni¬versity of the Arts in Linz. His studies on interpassivity (Interpassivität. Studien über delegiertes Genießen, ed., Vienna/New York 2000) attracted international attention. His latest publications are Das schmutzige Heilige und die reine Vernunft. Symptome der Gegenwartskultur (2008) and Ästhetik der Interpassivität (2008).
