Andreas Kupfer
Andreas Kupfer read Urban and Regional Planning at Vienna’s University of Technology between 1991 and 1996. In 1995 he spent a term at the University of Manchester, where his focus was on Urban Landscape Planning. Between 1997 and 2002 he was on the staff of a traffic planning practice and since 2002 Kupfer has been managing director of the IFAU – Institut für angewandte Umweltbildung –, based in Steyr. Under his directorship the IFAU has become a competency centre for the transmission of general and scientific knowledge to children and adolescents. The IFAU has been in charge of the KinderUniSteyr since 2004 and of so-called SchlauFuchsAkademien in diverse regions of Upper Austria since 2005. With its “Salon der schlauen Füchse” the IFAU presents a Best-of programme for Linz 09.
