Peter Rinderknecht

Peter Rinderknecht (born in 1953) writes, produces and acts in plays primarily intended for young audiences and has done so for 25 yerars. His chief interest belongs to the interplay of live music and acting. He appears as actor and singer in different theatres and he also likes to try his hand as a director. With his own plays, which he develops with theatre makers and musicians he is friends with under the label “Theater für ein wachsendes Publikum” (Theatre for a growing audience) and performs in several languages, he has established himself as a fixture in festivals all over the world, from Mexico to Okinawa, from Copenhagen to Florence, from Moscow to Rapperswil.

For roughly 10 years Peter Rinderknecht was a member of the Board of Directors of astej and Switzerland’s representative in the Executive Commitee of ASSITEJ International.
