Markus Arndt
Markus Arndt read Physics in Bonn and Munich, graduated from the Max-Planck-Institut für Quantenoptik in Garching and enrolled in a post-doc programme in Paris (1995-97). He then became an assistant of Anton Zeilinger at Innsbruck University before going on to Vienna University in 1999, where he held a variety of academic posts. In 2008 he was appointed Professor for Quantum Nanophysics at Vienna University. He was awarded several prizes in the course of his career, the latest being the Wittgensteinpreis, Austria’s most highly endowed research award.
